{"id":10087,"date":"2015-02-10T17:56:18","date_gmt":"2015-02-10T17:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/setramoperadorlogisticomultimodal.com\/?p=1274"},"modified":"2015-02-10T17:56:18","modified_gmt":"2015-02-10T17:56:18","slug":"auto-industry-cautiously-optimistic-for-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.setram.com\/en\/auto-industry-cautiously-optimistic-for-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Auto industry cautiously optimistic for 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000080;\"><em><strong style=\"line-height:1.65;\">Fully reproduce, then<a style=\"color:#000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acea.be\/press-releases\/article\/auto-industry-cautiously-optimistic-for-2015\"> the last press release ACEA<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong style=\"line-height:1.65;\">Brussels, 5 February &#8211;<\/strong><span style=\"line-height:1.65;\"> On the occasion of its Annual Reception in Brussels, the European Automobile Manufacturers\u2019 Association (ACEA) yesterday set out its forecast for 2015 and released last year\u2019s registration figures for electric vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Last year, new passenger car registrations were up 5.7% on the previous year, reaching 12.6 million units. \u201cThis is significant because it was the EU\u2019s first positive annual result since the financial crisis began in 2007, with December marking the 16th consecutive month of growth,\u201d said ACEA President, Carlos Ghosn. \u201cHowever, our optimism about this early sign of recovery must be tempered with caution, given the economic uncertainties still facing many countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">ACEA expects growth to continue in 2015, but at a considerably slower pace, with a year-on-year forecast in the region of 2%. In terms of units, this would mean edging closer to the 13 million units mark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">ACEA also released the provisional 2014 sales figures for all types of Electrically Chargeable Vehicles (ECVs). Last year 75,331 ECVs were registered in the EU. Although this is up 37% on the 2013 figure of 55,142, it still represents just 0.6% of the total market. ACEA Secretary General Erik Jonnaert commented: \u201cACEA\u2019s members will continue to invest in alternative powertrains, including electric, hybrid, fuel-cell and natural gas-powered vehicles. This needs to be supported by the expansion of the charging infrastructure, as well as a more consistent EU-wide approach to customer incentives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">ACEA is also taking the opportunity of its Annual Reception to re-iterate its three policy recommendations:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">To drive innovation;<br \/>\nTo foster growth through international trade; and<br \/>\nTo build a supportive regulatory framework.<br \/>\n\u201cThese are the three keys to building upon the fresh growth in our automobile market, and to supporting the political agenda for jobs, growth and investment,\u201d stated Mr Ghosn.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>About ACEA<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">ACEA\u2019s members are BMW Group, DAF Trucks, Daimler, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford of Europe, Opel Group, Hyundai Motor Europe, IVECO, Jaguar Land Rover, PSA Peugeot Citro\u00ebn, Renault Group, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen Group, Volvo Cars, Volvo Group.
